Neighbors recounted the harrowing scene following the discovery of Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff's death, with her daughter, Hayley Hasselhoff, reportedly found in distress. Pamela, aged 62, died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound at her Hollywood Hills home.
"She was hysterical, yelling, screaming, crying on the street,"
This is how neighbor Hiromi Osiecki described the chaotic moments after Hayley discovered her mother. Paramedics arrived around 9 pm, responding to the distress.
Osiecki, who lives across the street, believed the distressed woman was Hayley Hasselhoff, Pamela's youngest daughter with Baywatch star David.
Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff had reportedly been out of contact for days before her body was found. Her last Instagram post, a New Year's Eve message, expressed gratitude, especially for her granddaughter, London.
"Happy New Year, everyone! As we step into 2025, my heart is full of gratitude, especially for my precious grandbaby, London."
On the day of her death, she commented on Hayley’s Instagram post just hours before being found, according to TMZ.
A representative for David Hasselhoff, 72, released a statement:
"Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time."
Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff was married to David Hasselhoff from 1989 to 2006. Their split was marked by a bitter legal battle over spousal support. She accused him of domestic abuse, and financial disputes over alimony continued for years.
The couple’s divorce was finalized in 2006, but Hasselhoff continued paying alimony until at least 2017, initially as high as $21,000 a month before having it reduced to $5,000. The actor argued he had already paid his ex-wife over $2.5 million since their split.
David also faced personal struggles, including a widely circulated video of him drunkenly eating a burger, which temporarily cost him visitation rights with his daughters.
Pamela Bach-Hasselhoff appeared in Baywatch in multiple roles across 10 years. After primarily playing cafe owner Kaye Morgan for the first six seasons on Baywatch, Pamela took on the roles of Carly, Sara Chapman, and Bree Hanford when she appeared on the show again in Seasons 8 and 10.
